How To Create a Dreamy Princess Shoot, Even at A Water Treatment Plant

Being a modern day Princess is a lot simpler than it seems. You just have to know where to look to create magical moments. Even a water treatment plant can be transformed into a castle. Read through for how to create and model Princess Core Photos.

Shooting Against Endless Water Adds Drama

What helps to create the dreamy look for photos here is that the water picks up flecks of green, which matches the green in the dress. Shooting against an endless waterline gives the effect of being in a far away land.

Interacting With A Wall Creates an Easy Pose

When I told my photographer I was going to were a green dress, she instantly picked the R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant as our shoot location. The green window panes perfectly matched the green of the dress. I like to artfully lean against the wall for an “effortless pose”. However, this shot isn’t effortless. You have to arch your back, and only touch one of your shoulders to the wall to get the look.

Shooting With A Mirror Adds Dimension

One of my favourite props to photograph with is a mirror. You can catch cool things in the mirror’s reflection. You can also photoshop things into the mirror.

The green doors were a perfect match with the green dress. If you prefer to wear a different coloured Princess Dress, you can also play around with editing the colours of the doors.

Fountains to Lean on to Add Length

The R.C. Harris Water Treatment Plant has a beautiful fountain that gives you areas to lean on, and to stretch up against. One of my go-to princess poses is to lay down as if I’m about to take a nap. Be mindful of how much you are bending your neck to achieve a nice “Relaxed” look.
