This is my friend Madushi. I know that she absolutely adores teal so I wanted to create a teal eye makeup look especially for her.

3

First, I had her start with her own base: foundation and concealer. I also painted her nails. While we waited for the paint to dry, I took out the rest of my make up.

1 Benefit Coralista blush, maybelline the nudes palette,

I painted her nails in essie’s she’s pampered and topped them off with essie’s gel setter top coat (which is my new favourite top coat!). Look out for my article where I show you how well the top coat works.

The easiest way to apply contour and highlight is to have someone suck in their cheeks like a fish. Silly faces are also encouraged!

I used my Jordane Cosmetics Powder Contour Palette to make her cheek bones pop like nobodies’ business.

4 Benefit Cosmetics CORALista Box o’Powder Blush, Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade in Soft Brown, essie polish in She’s Pampered,

I added some colour to her cheeks with my Benefit Cosmetics CORALista Box o’Powder Blush. To add even more of a flush, I doubled down on top with another blush from NARS.

I used her NARS fluffy brush for the application

7 Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion

Before you apply any eye shadow, of course you have to put on some primer. Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion is my go-to.

Before adding the teal detailing, I created a base with my Maybelline The Nudes Palette. I used a shimmery gold tone for the entire lid, and gave her some nice accent colours with a dark brown that’s almost black.

19 Maybelline Sapphire Siren Eyestudio Palette

Using just the teal colour didn’t 100% work out. The green of the teal was pulling a yellow tone from her, so I mixed it with the blue colour and voila!

9 Maybelline Eye Studio in Saphire Siren

Look how gorgeous those accent colours are.

For her eyeliner, I used a mix of the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner and NYX Cosmetic’s Vinyl Liquid Liner.

For Madushi’s lip, I used my Wicked Lippie in Power to make her lips pop without taking taking attention away from her gorgeous eyes (and killer cheek bones).

16 Anastasia DIPBROW Pomade in Soft Brown

I finished her brows with my Anastasia DIPBROW Pomade in Soft Brown.

Not only am I glad that her look turned out, I’m glad I got to treat her to a fun and cute make up look.
