We went to Weslodge for Summerlicious. If I’m telling you the truth, all Summerlicious menus tend to have a mix of amazing choices, and some not-so-good choices. I seemed to have chosen mostly poorly.
I’ve been to Weslodge before, and I KNEW that I wanted to get the Scotch Egg!
That turned out to be somewhat of a poor choice. Although it was delicious (and I think that they should sell their truffle and onion jam in jars), the portion was small in comparison to the beet salad. My family all got beet salads, and there I was, twiddling my thumbs waiting for them to finish eating while my scotch egg was already consumed.
It really was delicious though.
mmmm Trout. Looks so good though right?!
Let’s back up a bit though.
My first thought when I saw my food was “Am I a garden gnome?” I felt kind of like a Giant.
The best choice of the night for me was the sticky date pudding. OH MY GOD.
My dad got the chocolate banana tart. I loved the tart shell! Yumm.
UGH. look how delicious.
Did you do Summerlicious this Summer?
