If there’s one thing that I’m currently obsessed with, it’s skincare. I never listened to my mom growing up enough about taking care of my skin. Guess what? Mom’s always right. Now that I’m older I’m constantly on the look out for the next best thing in beauty, and I just found it.
Vo Beauty is based out of Toronto and London, UK. Originating from Toronto, this beauty brand uses all natural, non-toxic ingredients, and all of the scents are from essential oils. All of their products are consciously sourced, cruelty-free and made entirely free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, sulphates and harmful preservatives. You can look good, and feel good about it too.
I was given the Sleeping Beauty Royal Jelly & Aloe Rose Hydrating Over-Night Gel Mask, and the Pore Perfect Burdock & Charcoal Peel-Off Mask to try.
What I loved the most about the rose jelly mask was that unlike other over night masks I’ve tried, it didn’t leave any residue on my pillow case, so I was able to sleep easy. Apply a thin layer of the mask after cleansing before bed. It took me about 4 days to start seeing a nice moisturized improvement in my skin. This mask contains royal Jelly and aloe Bulgarian rose hydrosol.
My favourite mask was actually the pore perfect mask! It surprisingly comes in a powder form, so you get to have some fun with mixing the mask yourself. It feels like a DIY without actually doing the hard work. It’s like “glamping” but for beauty. I IMMEDIATELY felt my skin tightening, and dare I say it? I felt the gunk from my pores rise to the surface during the whole 20 minutes that I waited for it to dry.
Don’t be like me though. I applied TOO thick of a layer by accident, and I didn’t apply it fast enough so it didn’t adhere as well as it did the first time I tried. I recommend using a foundation brush to apply the mask. I’m excited to keep using this mask and to keep perfecting the application. Betonite Clay, activated charcoal, and burdock root work over time to help draw out impurities.
