Taiwan Day 7: Lonley Bridge, Rice Fun Wraps & Friendship Bracelets

Tags:

Today I did the smart thing and took the bus to the MRT station! Hahahah, usually it takes me 30 minutes to walk to the mrt station (: Thanks to Uncle for recommending the bus to me! hahaha! Although the journey home was a little bit scary. The streets look really different at night time!

Today was walking adventure! We went to Tam Sui and it was pretty awesome. Lerizze’s AIESEC buddy took us around with his friends! Although it turns out really only two of them had ever been to Tam Sui! (OH MY GOSH WE FREAKED A LITTLE BIT!)

It was actually really cool there, it reminds me a little bit of the Jersey Shore haha! You know there are games and what not near the beach? It looks a little bit like that but no sand and no tan people.

It was actually so much fun! We were so excited that we spent a good five minutes just taking pictures of ourselves at the MRT STATION! When we first saw Min we all screamed and ran to each other and hugged as if we hadn’t seen each other in FOREVER! …Actually, we saw her two days ago..hahaha

We walked around the stores for a little bit like the cutie tourists that we are trying to find souvenirs for our friends. Do you have any idea how hard it is to shop for useful souvenirs?! I already got the souvenirs for the boys (I have realized that I can relate to you guys a little bit better when it comes to gifts!) but none for the girls yet! I wanted to get them friendship bracelets but I can get those in Canada too ):

For lunch we went to try a hot pot restaurant because Dexter (Lerizze’s AIESEC buddy) LOVES HOT POT! It was so cool! Lerizze and I had the same thing and ours came with a beef tapanyaki (sp?).

MMMMM DELICIOUS

It was pretty cool because we got to eat on the second floor! We’ve noticed that a lot of restaurants are located on the second floor.

I do not know who this woman is, but apparently she has a famous commercial. SHE IS LIKE CRAZY! She let us each have our own photos and she PUSHES YOU REALLY HARD and says “OKAY! GO!” and pulls in the next person!!! We saw her riding a scooter and asked her for photos hahaha!

After lunch we walked to the Red Castle…It was a little bit more along the lines of the Red Mansion. It is a Spanish inspired building and it was sooo beautiful! HAHAHA. WE EVEN TOOK ILLEGAL PICTURES ON THE GRASS! (No standing on the grass haha!) My feet were hurting pretty badly afterwards though, it was a super super long trek up the hill. It was also a really hot day and we were all feeling a little bit gross.

Oh my goodness, this is a hideous photo of me..

Almost all the photos of me look like I am not wearing pants ): What was I thinking?

After going to the red castle we took a boat the the Fisherman’s Wharf because Min and Lerizze wanted to see the Lover’s Bridge! (Too bad we are all single and don’t have lovers to walk the bridge with haha!) We saw so many couples walking around. It was a slight downer, but it was fun anyway. At night, the bridge lights up and is so pretty! We tried really hard to watch the sun set but…there was no sun to watch setting… There were too many clouds haha!

The bridge really was beautiful though.

On our way back, we decided that we needed to eat cheap dinner so we had Mc Donalds! Everytime you go to a different country you have to try their McDonalds because they usually do have different things or cool items that the McDonalds that you have don’t!

My Chicken Rice Fun Wrap…It really wasn’t that good…or fun. but I did eat all of my fries! (: Those are universally delicious.

Inside of the wrap, there is rice, chicken, cucumbers, lettuce, some kind of sauce and it was actually very very strange! This Picky Princess does not recommend for you to try that…Although the packaging was pretty awesome. We had to wait 20 minutes to try it though..it wasn’t too successful. Not really worth the wait hahaha.

The weirdest thing? The McDonalds is located on top of a hill…but the exit at the back of the McDonalds LEADS TO ANOTHER STREET!

After dinner Min wanted to buy some asian chips so we bought some chips called LATE NIGHT CHIPS HAHAHA! we also bought some mother’s day gifts ; )

IMG_0628

Because we are all so girly we bought Friendship Bracelets/Anklets! So pretty! I picked them ; ) So you know that they must be fabulous!

IMG_0636

We will always be friends guys (: No matter what. We just love each other that much! <3

Guess which foot is whos?!?!?!?!

Yours till my feet are better,
