OleHenriksen Glow20h Dark Spot Toner review

Tags:

I recently received the OleHenriksen Glow2OH™ Dark Spot Toner complimentary from Influenster to review before it was launched. Now that I’ve tried it for a few weeks, it’s time to give you my verdict on this new product.

OleHenriksen Glow2OH™ Dark Spot Toner

Something that I love about OleHenriksen products is actually the saturation of their product packaging. I was absolutely taken away by the beautiful blue of the bottle. Seriously, it’s one of my favourite colours. My graduation ring (UofT blue), and one of my favourite limited edition nail polishes are in the same shade (both pictured above). The bottle itself is a soft matte finish, and feels extra luxurious in hand. The bottle itself though is a hard plastic, which can be a little bit difficult to get the product out. The product itself is a clear liquid if you’re wondering. One issue that I do have with the packaging is that the blue does not make you think “lemons”. The product actually smells like “lemonade” according to the brand. I’ve heard others say it smells like a creamsicle. I can’t say it smells like lemonade, but maybe a lemon creamsicle, or a lemon cookie.

How to apply the product

  1. Soak a cotton pad and only use this product at night. Be mindful to also wear sunscreen during the day. This product is a very “dry” toner, so make sure you’re moisturizing as well.
  2. If you have a tough dark spot, it’s recommended that you leave the cotton pad on the spot for a bit longer.

Some say they say results within 7 days, It took me about 2 weeks to see any results. The toner helped to brighten my complexion and to even out my skin tone. I did find that it helped a little bit on my acne scarring, but not as much as other people. Something I didn’t like was because the product is such a “dry toner” my cotton pad would only suffice for about half of my face. I’d have to use more of the product to thoroughly cover my entire face. It’s a bit of a waste of cotton pads in my opinion.

Over all, I’d give this product a 4/5 stars. I’m going to finish off the rest of the bottle and see if it made any impact over all. You can purchase this toner at Sephora.ca
